Tokenised Investment Companies

What are they?

A Tokenised Investment Company (TIC) is a New Zealand limited liability company where investors can purchase tokenised shares directly on the DSG platform. Tokenisation means that each share is represented by a digital token, but it still comes with all the usual legal and regulatory protections you'd expect from a traditional shareholding.

How do they work?

Each TIC follows a clear investment mandate, focusing on a specific asset or strategy, such as Ethereum Staking Rewards or Precious Metals. As a shareholder, you have the right to participate in periodic redemptions, allowing you to redeem part of your investment at set intervals. Additionally, shareholders are encouraged to use their voting rights to help guide decisions around investment allocation and dividend distribution, ensuring that each TIC operates in line with investor preferences and goals.

Digital securities are traditional financial instruments, like shares and bonds, represented and traded on a blockchain. The "Digital" refers to the fact that they run on improved infrastructure, a distributed ledger. This offer benefits such as improved transparency, faster settlement times, and reduced costs compared to traditional securities infrastructure.

To start investing, create an account on our platform, complete the KYC/AML verification process, and browse the curated investment opportunities available. Once you've found an investment that interests you, you can subscribe directly through our platform.

Investments on DSG are secured using blockchain technology, ensuring transparency and immutability. Ownership of shares is also required to be reflected on the Companies Register. Our platform adheres to strict standards, providing a secure and compliant environment for all transactions. If needed, the Digital Securities can be frozen or forceably transferred by the issuer.

Yes, our investor dashboard provides a real-time view of your digital assets, enabling you to track performance, access transaction history, and manage your portfolio efficiently.

DSG is not a regulated entity. We are however committed to complying with all relevant KYC/AML requirements. Our legal support team, including partners like Hamilton Locke NZ, ensures our platform adheres to the highest standards of compliance. The eligability requirements of an offering is hardcoded into the smart contract, meaning unless the receiveing wallet has been whitelisted and matches the requiements, the transfer will fail.

DSG plans to provide a secondary market where investors can buy and sell digital securities peer-to-peer, facilitated by our platfrom for maximum security. This offers greater liquidity and flexibility compared to traditional markets.
